As someone who doesn't suffer in the slightest with nerves I've got to say Happy Jack's suggestion sounds absolutely spot on--nice work Jack!

There are many things in life that terrify me, however getting on stage to perform is not one of them. My first gig at 11 years old back in 1965, I couldn't wait to get on stage. Some of us just love making fools out ourselves. :)

I agree with Happy Jack too and I know you'll be fine and get through this unscared.

DON'T have a skinfull the night before and get in at 7am then try to drink through it, the hangover WILL land just before you go on..

I find playing in front of a few people really intimidating but I really enjoy playing to a crowd. When there's a lot of people there I don't notice them so much for some reason.

Good luck with the gig and enjoy it!

My world ends at the edge of the stage. I concentrate on what is happening on the stage and ignore everything else, but it is still nice when people applaud at the end. Enjoy it, it will be great.

Remember the bass player's mantra

'Nobody notices the bass player unless he catches fire'.

And no one notices the bass line until its not there (because its what makes everyone else sound good)
