MattPurland
Hi all! I have a Warwick Corvette Std for sale, Bubinga body, Ovangol neck, etc... the usual Warwick setup. Has been fitted with a brass nut and comes with a Warwick gig bag. It's in perfect condition with not a single mark (apart from the usual MEC logo on one of the pickups is slightly warn). More info from Warwick can be found here: http://www.warwick.de/modules/produkte/pro...14427&cl=EN I've been told its slightly rare as it's been cut at an 90deg angle? Which is why it's got that cool grain pattern Anyway, looking for £375 ono Thanks! Edited August 18, 2008 by MattPurland
King Tut
And your bass interests are......... sorry - I get tetchy about this stuff. Nice bass mate - where are you based?
MattPurland
What do you mean by 'bass interests'? I play bass and I like playing bass, doesn't get much more interesting than that I'm based in Norwich, though I'm willing to post if need be. CHRISDABASS
hi looks like a gorgeous bass!! i hate to sound funny but to me that looks like stained ash rather than bubinga................im sure bubinga is much more pinky/red in colour someone please correct me if im wrong........ MattPurland
That's what I thought when I first purchased it, but when you pick it up and feel the weight, you realise it's bubinga. It's also stained and not a natural finish. I've been told that the grain is like that due to the way the wood's been cut. Though I have no idea so that could be bullsh*t! budget bassist
I don't think that is bubinga mate, the grain on bubinga is much tighter and it doesn't come in a stain i don't believe. Not all wood behaves the same, it could just be a heavy ash body. Which it looks like.

MattPurland
Then the weight difference between that bass and my 5 string $$ (which is also swamp ash) is huge!! Follow your temptation, I'm very eager to sell this asap, I'm proper skint! Edited August 17, 2008 by MattPurland

People join the site just to sell something - which is allowed! Maybe a bit of an introduction to yourself would be cool so we know who we're dealing with. Might help you sell your bass also. Or maybe you've already posted in introductions. Anyway never mind me - I'm a bit of a grump sometimes - just ask my kids - good luck with the sale! I must admit, I did join this site to sell my bass (after a friend pointed me this way) but as a bassist I will introduce myself - to start, take a look at my band: http://www.myspace.com/ostracoda Not sure if it's everyone's cup of tea, but you never know! I've been playing bass fo nearly 10 years, and have been a Warwick nut for years. I switched to a MusicMan once, but couldn't get on with the size of the thing and the tone was a bit 'twangy' for my liking... can't think of anything else at the mo, but I'm sure I will in time! Gamble
Matt's straight up, I've played along side him a few times what with us being Naarrich boys and all. So if my backing is worth anything, you can have it! (Don't let me down now bud!)
MattPurland
I'd never mate Should've expected you to be on here, a fellow Warwick nut if I recall! Oh, and I'm willing to lower the price to £330 as I'm desperate for the money now, any takers? It's in perfect condition and sounds awesome!
