Belcanto Tension

I've heard a bunch of good things about Belcantos but I think that the tension might be too much for me (I'm used to Velvet blues which have a few kilos less tension per string).

Has anyone had any experience with tuning the Solo set of strings to standard pitch? If so how did it sound/feel?

Velvet Blues have about 25 kg tension per string. Bel Cantos only have about 28 to 29 kg tension per string. With a good setup, that should not be noticeable, or just barely noticeable.

I recently tried Belcantos and found them way too taut. I usually play Thomastik Weichs though which are very light. I wanted something that bowed better but it all felt too much like hard work with the Belcantos. Back on the old Weichs now!

Belcanato's have been the lightest string I've used..... There not a high tension string.
