King Tut Posted March 11, 2015 Share Posted March 11, 2015 Not sure if I'm ok to post this as technically advertising for a non bass playing relative. Mods - please delete if not appropriate. An 'E Serial' Fender Jazz Bass Special. Made in Japan in a kind of metallic pink with black neck and headstock. My cousin asked me if i knew anyone interested in buying it so I've given it a good look over had the neck off to adjust truss rod. I can list the details and pass on a phone no if anyone's interested. Generally the bass is sound although not in fantastic cosmetic condition. Worst of all is a dink/split between two of the pots - pictured. The neck is ok and nothing on it to affect playability. Truss rod works fine. The 'P' pickup isn't working. Wiring inside the cavity looks ok so either a wire is off the pup, the pickup itself is dead or, my hunch is, the selector switch is knackered. Tuners all work ok. Bridge all works but is quite corroded as is the neck plate. Assorted knobs! It wouldn't cost much to get this cleaned up and playing well. It's not overly heavy, and sounded pretty resonant with no extreme dead spots noted. I suggested selling as seen for £350. Sorry about the quality of the pics, but just had me phone. Message me if you're interested and I'll pass a number on. The bass is based in Letchworth, but that's too far for me to go back for more pics I'm afraid. If I wasn't trying to slim my collection down I'd have had it myself!
