Thump
Looking at one of these a little later on today , with the intention of taking it home if I get on with it. I've read many good things about these but can anyone tell me the downsides? Besides from explaining to my wife why there is ANOTHER guitar in our dining room. All black with maple neck/board if you're wondering. Cheers guys
DorsetBlue
Only issue I know of (I have the 70s, Basswood/Rosewood model) is with the Natural finish one (Maple/Maple) being damn heavy.
Thump
Thanks for the reply. I went , I saw, I purchased. Plays very well, and seems very well built for the price. Somewhat chuffed

Thump
How could I forget... Mornats
Nice! The only downside is that they're so good value for money you'll want to but a couple more in case they priced them wrong...
Thump
The thought has already crossed my mind I can't get my head round the fact that it needs no setting up whatsoever , plays sweet right out the box. I have a Les Paul that cost nine times as much yet took hours to get "right". Its a keeper for sure , though I have a lot to learn yet about basses in general and reading through this site I think I've come to the right place
Mornats
Mine has set up really well when I bought it. I've since levelled, dressed and polished the frets and wow, just wow. I did it mainly because I recently bought the tools and wanted to try it out. A few needed a little work but nothing you'd think about paying £90 to get fixed. inate_hex
That is a gorgeous looking bass. I wish they did them in a 5 string.
Funky Dunky
http://www.gak.co.uk/en/squier-vintage-modified-jazz-bass-v-upraded-olympic-white/85224 Or did you mean in black? It's a damn shame they only do that in white or natural finishes.
