hello all,
seen a few 9v microsynths on here recently, i wondered how they compared to the older 24v?

any experinces? ive had the 24v one since new, about 10 years and found it to need a hug every now and again. did ehx improve the build quality with the 9v?

does the 9v sound as good or better?

I'd say that the 9v doesn't sound as good, but is a bit more convenient.
I've never had a build quality issue with new EHX pedals, but I know Juan Alderete won't take them out on tour as he's had a bunch break on him, sticks to the old ones.

I've had both though not at the same time. I had the 24v first. I can't say I really noticed a difference with the 9v. Smaller, lighter and can run of a power brick. Possibly slightly quieter than the 24v.

Maybe I'd notice a difference in tone with then side by side. But the 9v is a good pedal and can stand up on its own.

To be fair, he's had a few pedals die recently and not just EHX.
He had a Meat Box die a week or so ago...
