Paul S
Whoa, you got a Longhorn for less than £200?! Congratulations! :jealous:
Yes, I know - a bargain And it was on here, too - I was lucky enough to see the ad sharpish.
JTUK
The Revelation range is worth a look. The wood and generally build seems very good for its pricepoint and you could swap out the cheap hardware if you needed to..?? But as a playable package, I'd say they are 'pretty good' for the money. ead
Thanks folks, some interesting options that were definitely not on the radar. Please keep them coming...
Thump
For a little over £200 I would take a look at the Squier vintage modern series. However I'm slightly biased as I bought one last week
Black Coffee
Yamaha are the best at that £200 price range. There is a 425 on here at the minute for exactly that amount. Total bargain, please buy it before I give in and buy another one.
alyctes
If you can find a Peavey Foundation, they seem to go for about £170. Lovely lovely basses.
alyctes
This http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vox-Standard-bass-3504-in-great-condition-complete-with-original-Vox-bag-/181692708861?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2a4dbab7fd is probably £50 overpriced, but if you like big chunky necks these are fine. (I don't, and mine is not for sale!)

alyctes
The pup is a bit weedy, which I always find surprising. Sound-wise it's a P-bass with a bit more twang and authority, at least to my ear. It weighs a lot, BTW.
