Cosmo Valdemar
Incredible find! Coincidentally I was watching John Entwistle play one in the Kids Are Alright vid this morning. Such a cool looking bass. Edited March 15, 2015 by Cosmo Valdemar
Happy Jack
Congratulations, outstanding purchase Sir! I was only looking at this on the Wunjo site last night thinking what a great piece it is. Any change of some sound clips?
Sound clips? Nah! Come round and try it for yourself ... 1970
Nice - I have a '65 mosrite as well! Mine's identical but in sunburst. The blue is my absolute favourite colour though. Here's why: If I had seen it before you I have no doubt it would be in my hands now.
mickster
Wow...skinny frets & a zero-fret; looks amazing & bet it's easy to play. What's the scale length?
Happy Jack
It's a shortscale (31") which clearly came as a surprise to the guys in Wunjo and also to their excellent guitar tech.
BigRedX
Scale length should be 32". As much as I love Mosrite guitars and basses I can't justify the prices that either "new" models or the originals are fetching these days (HJ that was one hell of an impulse purchase!) I'd be looking at one of the copies by Hallmark (the best of the sensibly priced copies IMO). Edited March 16, 2015 by BigRedX

Happy Jack
I was 13 when that album came out ... didn't get into the Stooges until Raw Power and never back-catalogued I'm afraid.
BigRedX
Interesting regarding the scale length. Just done a quick bit of research. The modern versions/copies mostly appear to be 32" scale but the original 60s and 70s Mosrite basses seem to be between 30.5" and 32" depending on the model and when it was made. Happy Jack
Yup, this one is exactly 31" and I was trying to explain to Wunjo's that Hofners always used 30.5".
Thump
Very cool! I especially like the shape of it , kinda reminds me of a reverse Jazz body I noticed the font of "Venture" on the headstock and its the same as the Adult Swim cartoon "Venture brothers" . I wonder if the two are connected? Perhaps the creator has love of these as well.
+1 on this chap (Kevin?) he's given the two new basses I've bought a great set up. You get two years unlimited set-ups on new basses, how's it work with vintage ones? HazBeen
Now just a Ventures amp and it is '65 all over again.. Albeit that was 9 years before I was born. The Ventures are cool http://www.planktones.com/IMG_1066.JPG
Well, with the price you paid, it must be factored in, so not exactly free? I wouldn't feel bad about anything, after all Kev is just there to service Wunjo customers, so fill your boots. In fact, if you don't take it back at least once a month for a tweak Kev might find himself out of a job. You didn't think of it that way round did you? Black Coffee
That bass is older than I am. But it looks like a total gem. I've been to Wunjos and nearly bought one of those basses we are not allowed to discuss on here in case somebody gets thick at it.
