I'm wondering whether there is any benefit in splitting cabs to either side of the stage rather than stacking them on top of each other?
Will splitting the cabs up to either side of the stage produce a fuller sound or would you be missing something by not stacking them, I can't say that I've seen people splitting their cabs up but it seem to make some sence to me.......

I think it depends how wide the stage is.
If it's not all that wide, then you're probably better to stack near centre stage.
Try splitting at your next gig's sound check though & see How it sounds.

Just what I was about to say! No substitute for experience! :)

I'm guessing comb filtering was a problem in the 70s when everyone had long hair, but now the fashion is for shorter hair (and with players going bald as they get older) is this still an issue in the twenty-first century?

...I'll get me wig.
