Trading SR5 for SR4 / Sterling 4

I would like to trade my Stingray 5 for an SR4 or 4-string Sterling. I am looking for a single Humbucker model (H) with 3 band EQ and a maple neck (preferably black). I live in Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom and would like to know if any of you other british musicman enthusiasts would be interested.

The SR5 is a lovely Trans Teal with Maple Neck and Black Pearl pickguard. It plays and sounds amazing and is in good condition. The only wear and tear is a microscopic ding near the bridge and some mojo on the neck, just from playing religiously. Personally I am not one who cares about aesthetic wear and tear, so dont be hesitant if your SR4 is a little beat up. I've had mine for 4 years and its been very well loved and played. It has only been gigged twice.

The reason I want to trade is because I havnt found much use for a low B in the music I play and I prefer the 4 string spacing (and cheaper restringing costs!).

So if you fancy meeting up for inspection and trade I'd be willing to drive out and meet you half way. I'm really eager to step down to a 4 string!

Thanks,

Aharon

I have had a reply but it was very non-committal ! I dare say the seller has had multiple offers but is very specific about what they want and putting other offers on hold until he realises it won't happen.

Unfortunately Aharon you are doomed to failure as you can't get a Stingray 4 with a selector switch for series/parallel/single.

Think we've probably all pm'd him with this little nugget..................................doesn't look like my SR4 w/o switch will be going anywhere soon then :)

Hello all. Sorry I did not do my research properly. The selector switch is no longer a requirement - my bad! Sorry to those who didnt get a reply from me. I got a few offers, but one guy turned me down, one guy lives in Europe and another guy (a moderator on the forum here) has only the 2 band EQ.

I will re-state the requirements:

maple neck
single humbucker
3 band EQ

Thats it. The offer is still very much open. PM me, those who are interested.

P.S I understand I have very specific criteria, but I feel it is justified when dealing with instruments of this calibre. I dont mean to be picky, its just that I would like a replacement I am comfortable with. No hard feelings to anyone I have / will turn down.
just out of interest, how do you use your 3 band eq? (tryin to decifer why you would need a 3 and a 2 not being good enough)
I boost the treble and bass to near-full and cut the mids the to near-zero. I know it sounds bizzaire, but my amplification and pedals set up is rather unorthodox and this produces a killer tone!
