Wanting to buy a Dean Jeff Berlin Sig...

Hi guys!

Played a very nice Jeff Berlin sig at the Bass Merchant recently. Am also looking online as they're after about £550. However, on the [url="http://www.deanguitars.uk.com/dean_price.pdf"]Dean UK pricelist[/url] they are considerably cheaper. What are your thoughts on this? How much should I be paying?

Can anyone suggest somewhere else? I have left a message with the bass gallery.

For those with no access to PDF files, the Jeff Berlin Basic (and the only model, I think) is £359.

It looks like some of the Dean prices have dropped - certainly the pace bass seems to have dropped a lot since I bought one. have you discussed the price issue with the chaps at the bass merchant? I'm sure they'll do their best to give you a good deal - and will change their price if it is incorrect.

If you can, you want to get one with the original spec..
Keep you eyes open on Evil Bay.
They were better Basses with an Ebony board.
Bart pups, Badass etc.
Like gold dust though..

Thanks so much for the posts, guys. I'll give that Nottingham place a call. I will also have a word with the Bass Merchant, unfortunately Darren has been away for the past week but the other guy Chris has been very accomodating and helpful but wasn't able to say whether or not they could change the price.

Garry, I'm keeping an eye out on the bay. I'm finding it very hard to find clear information about the different models. Do you know when they changed?

Not Totally sure, I think about 3/4 years ago..
They were around the £1200.00 mark.
But for sure a different beast..
Thats why they are real hard to get your hands on.
I have tried both, and for me it was a bit like the
Lakland Usa and Skyline thing.
