A heads up for anyone interested in an OTB 500 or 1000, I had an email yesterday from PMT Music, 500w is on offer at £349 and 1000w is £469.

Does anyone know - do these current models have any kind of mods at all to address the valve gain/hot DI issues?

Yes mate. I bought mine about six months ago and have never had any issues going through PA systems with it. Have been very impressed. Wish I had a bloody crystal ball though and waited for this sale price!!

No problem Pig Bass, glad someone's put the offer to use, if I wasn't waiting for the OB1, (which I imagine is the reason for the price drop) I'd be waiting for another myself.

Hmmm. I was all set to arrange for my Markbass TA503 to be repaired to the estimated tune of £250 - £300, or I can get one of these instead? It really is a great price!

I just picked one up from PMT. Bargain at that price plus 9 months interest credit. I love mine. Will use the old one as a back up now. Happy days
