Rich Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 It's not been a good week for rhythm section players, has it? Quote
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 No. It's 2's and 3's this week Quote
sykilz Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 TwistedSister were one of the first rock bands I got into, when they were at thepeak of their popularity about 1983, great memories of seeing their superb videos and great anthemic tunes. IMO was a great era for American rock, though sure others wouldn't agree, but living in an age when music on TV was all pop all the time, seeing Twisted Sister, or Motley Crue, or Ratt on Entertainment USA just opened my excited 14 year old eyes to a whole new world of OTT rock. Number6 Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Oh man we really are losing some of my heroes this week Quote
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted March 21, 2015 Author Posted March 21, 2015 Sister were great. Always live. Trouble with them , is they run out of ideas after stay hungry and assumed we wanted to go back to the 'happy days ' era of the '50s. Quote
MacDaddy Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I thought about starting this thread myself when I heard yesterday, but I wasn't sure enough BC'ers would know who he was. I first saw Twisted Sister on The Tube in 1982. Then on Top of the Pops with 'I am I'm me', and that was it, hooked for life. My top 3 gigs are all Twisted Sister gigs. 55 years old, that's no age these days. Cause of death doesn't seem to have been reported yet. Quote
