Tony Kanal springs to mind, and Nick Fyfe (ex-Jamiroquai) is another (everyone talks about Zender and Turner). Robert Deleo of Stone Temple Pilots had some cracking bass lines and Fat Mike from NOFX often has something cool going on. Who would you nominate? Another fave of mine is Duff McKagan - he puts some very nice melodies and lines into songs, but as much of his work has been with Slash it`s seems to have been easy for many to overlook what Duff brings to the songs.
