gelfin Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 On the posotive side. £32 for a piezzo pup, pre-amp and kindling for the BBQ/fire pit could be a good deal. Quote
Annoying Twit Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) I knew this would be Gear4Music even before I opened the thread. We had quite a few discussions about their smashed up guitars about a year or two ago. For £37 or so, you can buy a Thomann Deko which is actually in one piece. Here's a picture of a neck through bass from way back then. Edited March 23, 2015 by Annoying Twit Quote
ribbetingfrog Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 They've been hawking this guitar for ages: http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/351330553716?nav=SEARCH I can't for the life of me think why nobody has snapped this up for £250. Quote
Utterly farcical that they are asking £250 for that with a snapped neck. Quote
yorks5stringer Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 A good Luthier could fix that with Titebond, which sets harder than the wood itself. However given they would charge £50-100 to do it, there seems no apparent saving on taking a punt on it at £250 Quote
alyctes Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 This, on the other hand, could be a good deal for the right buyer: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-4-LA-Bass-Guitar-by-Gear4music-Black-B-STOCK-RRP-84-99-/271808139141?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f49070f85 Quote

bonnp Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 i saw a double bass b stock that the sides and back had fallen off along with other probs, they should have sold as "kit" Quote
alyctes Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015
How do Gear4music manage to smash so much gear (for music)? Surely after the first batch they would get onto their Chinese OEM supplier and tell them to get the thumb out? Or do their employees suffer from roid rage in the warehouse?
Zero hours contracts, I expect. Quote
