Kempy535
This is a bit like one of the spot the difference games. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1969-70-Vintage-Fender-USA-Jazz-Bass-Fiesta-Red-Refinished-With-Hard-Case-/181694740126?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2a4dd9b69e

wateroftyne
I've just had a quick look and I can't see anything obvious...?
lowregisterhead
That's a very long screw in the G string bridge saddle. I wouldn't fancy one in any case, so I'm guessing really! Can someone who knows about these things put us put of our misery? Edited March 22, 2015 by lowregisterhead
Thor
I'm certainly no expert but I do own a 69 Jazz, taking the photos at face value the bass looks reasonable enough, the only thing that would make me slightly anxious would be the height of the saddles to the bridge? mxm
Long 'G' intonation screw is correct for 69-73.
zero9
It has lots of newish non original parts, and the neckplate serial number indent appears a bit 'thin'. The lack of proper date stamps on neck and body don't help.
Kempy535
The biggest for me is the dots and binding on the neck. I'm sure fender only made them in 66. No date stamps on the neck. 64 written in blue pen
tauzero
Would there have been holes for ashtrays by the bridge in a 69ish Jazz?
Thor
Would there have been holes for ashtrays by the bridge in a 69ish Jazz?
. Yes there would, and in the pickguard for the pup cover - at least mine does.
