Make sure you make Bernie well aware that you want to have the wooden covers as they should be cut prior to the body laminates being assembled. It's good to see that there's potentially some more "new breed" Rumours going to be coming out to play! EBS_freak
For those at the bash today, you will have seen the new buttons on the back plate. Just the pulse indicator to put in. By the end of the day, we'd decided that a fibre optic cable is the way forward. A lot of firsts on this GB!
bass_ferret
Where didi you decide to put it - Bernie and I were talking about this the other week.

On inspection of the back plate, you won't be able to see the hole, but when the LED inside flashes, the light will travel up the fibre optic to the surface of the plate and be visible. Should be cool. Looking forward to seeing it complete! I never thought a bass could be so good - I'm blown away by it!

EBS_freak
Just cos I love this pic... By the way the pulse has been done now so I guess the thing is complete. The pulse is situated on the back cavity plate above the preamp and visible on the plate via the fibre optic cable as mentioned before. When the pulse is off you can't tell that there is anything where.... but when the LED pulses, out comes the light from the wood. Cool as. There has never been a Spitfire made that will look anything like yours... and that a certainty! The naked wood looked great to start with. By the time that thing is built, it's going to look eye popping!
durandassi
Thanks, thats the effect i was going for. When i first discussed it with Bernie, i don't think he was to keen, but now we've got the ball rolling he seems as excited as me! Will hopefully get down there next week to pick up my Rumour (Bernie and Dick are trying to sort me out a permenent power source for the LED's, running the power down the cable). so will be able to discuss the next phase of the Spitfire, got some interesting ideas for the thru neck and fret board. will definatley be having LED's, but colour and wether i have the controller are yet to be decided. James.

Yeah, he isn't the greatest fan of buckeye... but I think he is very pleased with the piece that you have got for your Spitfire. It's a stunner! It's going to be outrageous. Keep us posted anyway!
