PaulWarning Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Why? I just don't get it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Fender-51P-Bass-Left-handed-precision-jazz-51Telecaster-50s-70s-custom-/271798769459?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f48781733 Quote
alittlebitrobot Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 haha. I'm really not into Fenders at all, and the backwards bridge and pickup covers bother me but, I have to admit, I can see the appeal in this. I'm usually into the "coffee table" basses but there's something enjoyable about how silly this is. Like an old painted sign that's had a neck and some strings slapped on it. Way over-priced. I wouldn't be tempted in the slightest but it made me smile. Quote
rushbo Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 If the guy had stopped relicing this a third of the way into the process, this would be a nice instrument. I like basses with character, but this looks more like "fire salvage" than "mojo". Quote
GregBass Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 If he had stopped zero per cent of the way in it would have been better still. I will never understand why anyone would want someone else to batter the crap out of a bass before they buy it!! Quote
vmaxblues Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 madness, mojo comes from playing, not woodwork Quote
Annoying Twit Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 It makes me think that I should buy an instrument, leave it in the canal for a month, then try to sell it on ebay. Quote
