Does anyone use this combination and would be willing to offer a short review? Currently use a boss odb3 which I have modded with Monte Allums. Still sounds a bit too harsh for me even at lower gain settings.

Cheers, Garry

I don't have an SFT anymore but bear in mind the original v1 version with the white knobs is much darker sounding than the newer variant which has a good deal more clarity!

I use one and sometimes with a Shuttle 6.
Not sure what you want to know? It goes from a little dirt to full on fuzz. You can also blend the bass and treble so you lose no bottom end and can also make it brittle up top.
I just use mine as a stomp box when I want more drive/ dirt
First OD - Dirt pedal I have used so can't compare it to anything else.

Edit to say it is V1 and I use it at 18v.

Hi there. Basically, I feel that my boss pedal sounds a bit harsh to my ears (though sounds cool as hell with my flanger on at the same time). Looking for a pedal that keeps it smooth and creamy even when being driven a bit harder. Genre is kinda alt rock and grungy at times. The SFT sounds quite good on the videos i have seen but they are hard to rely on. I'll never push it, boss, super hard as I rhink I am quite reserved on that front.

It can do pretty subtle, but I only use it fairly cranked for full effect.
I think the VT bass is another good option to be looking at, I've been tempted.

Thanks Highfox. Something that can do fairly subtle well and still sound good cranked is good to have. Might be time toove on my ODB. I like it for one song that we do, but it only makes an appearance for about 8 bars! Poor thing is underused with me.
