karlfer Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) Lakland DJ 4,Korean, 2007, before they switched to Indonesia. £650. Based in Wigan but happy to courier UK at buyers cost (about £25 fully insured). Couple of little nicks on headstock, one near rear straplock, which I was going to cover with nail varnish, but never got round to. Rarer maple fretboard. I may well trade, with cash either way as the bass I was after won't be going ahead. Payment by cash on collection, cleared cheque or bank transfer. Cheers, Karl. Thor Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 I don't normally like Blue basses but that looks rather tasty! Have a bump on me & GLWTS - if I was in a better place financially I'd quite fancy this :-)
lou24d53 Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 I think that looks stunning, don't need a third Lakie though! GLWTS. 👍
smaz Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Damnit, that'd go lovely with my Duck Dunn... I've got a couple of empty beer cans & the box for a tuner if that's any good?!
karlfer Posted March 24, 2015 Author Posted March 24, 2015 Many thanks guys. I may trade this now, with cash either way, as the super bass I was after is not going to happen now. Anybody want this and lots of quids for their Custom Shop Dusty Hill ?
White Cloud Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Karl is an absolute gentleman and this is a stunning bass. GLWTS
4 candles Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Indeed Karl is an absolute diamond geezer And this is one lovely bass This won't be here for long I'm sure
Muppet Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Beautiful, I have one exactly the same but with the rosewood board. For info, John East makes a version of his J-Retro fitted to a drop in control plate, as it is a slightly different shape. Shame you have to sell it!
inthedoghouse Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Gorgeous bass and Karl is a great guy to deal with :-) GLWTS

[/quote] Not a Dusty Hill but could be tempted to trade the Dirnt - pm me if interested and bump!
karlfer Posted March 26, 2015 Author Posted March 26, 2015 (edited) Sorry, away with work yesterday, catching up today. Many thanks for the kind comments guys, very humbling. All pm's replied sent (I think). Ebenezer, despite these having a slightly smaller jazz body, they are not daft light. This one shows 9lb 3ozs on scales. Don't know why but I can't get a link to Lakland to work, but if you google it, then go to DJ PAGE (PRODUCTS DROPDOWN) the full Skyline spec for this model is there. Many thanks all, cheers, Karl.
