Here's a couple from me: 'dimed' as in the volume on my amp is dimed. Really!! where did that come from? Even worse because I work for a global company whose headquarters in in the USA. But I can and do write properly when I have to for the right audience so on BC it is short-hand at best. For that reason, I don't even bother with a spell checker here... Oh well..... Cheers, Frasier, Big Bang Theory etc etc) I particularly dislike it when the word "like" is thrown into a sentence far too often "I said like, whoa, and she said like, you wha like an' I was like duh, like so she says like, you kno what I mean like, an' like I was all like...... I often hear such meaningless drawl, and think to myself "what the hell was that all about?
