barneyg42 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015
I think I do. Only it's more of a heel tapping really. I also do a lot of hair tossing (didn't realise that until I saw a recent vid of me playing live!) Stand by for some 'tossing' jokes from discreet......
Oh let me be the first!!!! I always thought there were quite a few tossers on here!!! Quote
bonzodog Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Only time i do is when we play Substitute. For some reason i cant gauge when to start each verse unless i tap four beats from end of chorus Quote
Paul S Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 I do everything, unfortunately, but mainly jerk my head around erratically. If I had hair I would probably swish it. I can't help it. It looks like someone has plugged me into the mains. I also hum the bassline I am playing, so have to keep clear of my mic. If ever I play with a new bunch of people I issue them with disclaimers and warnings about contacting paramedics. Quote

planer Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Moving? What, at the same time as playing? No chance. I forget to breathe... Quote
Roland Rock Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Not foot tapping. I do tend to bob up and down like a demented chicken though Quote

leftybassman392 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Another inveterate foot-tapper here. In my guitar-playing days I had to keep an eye on it just to make sure I didn't accidentally stomp on any of my stomp boxes. Quote
Norris Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015
I forget to breathe...
I do this quite often Quote
FinnDave Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I find it very difficult to stay still on stage, have belted our Jenny on the head with my bass (inadvertently, honest) quite a few times. It will be interesting to see how I get on tonight as I am semi-incapacitated but still giggling. Hopefully it will mean Jen's head will be safe! Quote
FinnDave Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) And apparently I do things like this quite often (didn't know until I saw the pics/videos that proved it!) scalpy Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 When I play I look like a scarecrow getting electrocuted. Quote

FinnDave Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 More likely I'm shouting at Jen 'stick to the frickin set list!' Quote

VestonPants Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I'm told I stick my tongue out when I'm concentrating. I strongly suspect I do that when I'm playing. Good job I no longer care about image. Quote
rogerstodge Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 (edited)
I do this, it's good for the Chalfonts - helps to ease 'em back up a bit. They can distracting at times.
tell ya what is good for the chalfonts, sitting on a a cold damp breeze block whilst eating your lunch , i should know Edited April 8, 2015 by rogerstodge Quote
dadofsix Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 The better the drummer the less tapping I'm doing. But, in those situations when a drummer is, shall we say, careless with his meter, I'm tapping like crazy. As you might guess, I have a LOT more fun playing when I don't have to tap. <><Peace Quote
Soul-Fi Steve Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I've been known to tap.... very rarely if ever do I count Quote
Dad3353 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 No, I don't count, either. [sharedmedia=core:attachments:146269] Quote

ColinB Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I'm told that my eyebrows sometimes bounce to the music. (Notice the plural! ) Quote
