skidder652003
I mean its probably cr*p right? But 100 notes? http://www.thomann.de/gb/behringer_bvt4500h.htm
AndyTravis
Might be alright, for a backup or spare. If my experience with behringer is that if it doesn't explode after a months use, chances are its a good one and will serve you well. Cameronj279
Only used a Behringer amp once but actually preferred it to some of the Ampeg amps I've used in the past.
davehux
Take the Behringer badge off. Stick an Ampeg one on and you got yourself an SVT-

http://www.thomann.d...er_bvt4500h.htm
they don't have to pay a design team to come up with it (cos lets face it its basically a Chinese fake with a german badge on it) and paying people 20p a day to make them helps plus verrrrry cheap components as has been said if you can get it past a month then its probably going to be okay just don't expect much for your £100 Edited April 3, 2015 by Chrismanbass
Lozz196
A mate of mine has a Behringer bass amp, think it`s the Ultrabass, and it sounds great. And it`s the only amp he has, and has been going strong for some 4/5 years now without any issues.
Dan Dare
How do they do it for £100? Crismanbass is right. I'd add: 1. Employ children to build them at gunpoint. 2. Feed said children on gravel and make them sleep next to their workbenches.
davehux
Want an Ampeg SVT CL for Ashdown money? http://www.thomann.de/gb/bugera_bvv3000_infinium.htm I've so nearly pulled the trigger on one of these over the past couple of weeks
molan
In my experience with Behringer amps it's a complete lottery if you get one that works or one that blows up half way through a gig. Obviously if it's a new one and it dies then you're covered by warranty but if it goes mid-gig then the warranty isn't much help Buying used might be safer because, as suggested above, if it's survived a few gigs and been around a while it will probably keep going. If they are going to blow it's often quite early in their life.

uncle psychosis
Interesting buy. I know Behringer don't have a great rep quality wise but I've never had anything Behringer fail on me whereas yesterday a Hartke HA3500 failed on me during a recording session! Annoying Twit
Here's the longest German language review as translated by Google Translate.
After the first BVT4500H after 15 minutes thomann mileage gave up the ghost, I was first disappointed, but was on the next day, thanks as always quick settlement of Thomann, again a replacement. My current BVT4500H has since been running smoothly. I play the part with a tube preamp and 4x10er and 1x15er Behringer boxes. The sound pressure and this combination thomann is really good for the money and you'll quickly find a decent sound. With a full stack Ampeg you certainly can not keep up, but measured by the use of capital I find the Behringer parts really great. For music styles such as punk and various rock styles, the part is of good use. With tube preamp to get thomann already "almost" to the sound of Mr. Kilmister. Often musicians and any Poser express derogatory first if you arrive by Behringer equipment, this is also true but when hear the most this combination it is with the Gelästere very quickly. Just buy it if you thomann emphasis auf's make music in the first place and would like to have enough power in the practice room at a rehearsal or on stage. RhysP
They probably use exactly the same components as any other Chinese built solid state amps (Ampeg included), they just don't have a "prestigious" name badge on the front.
