FinnDave Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Sweet silence...unless I am giving Jenny a lift back, then she usually insists on putting the car radio on, usually radio 1. She was shocked to discover I didn't know how to use the radio in my own car! Quote
Lozz196 Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 If driving back on my own, nothing - I like that peaceful drive late at night after a really noisy gig. Quote
sykilz Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Strangely..Dream Theater, who I don't usually care for, think it helps me to stay awake as I try to figure out what they're playing....and why.... Quote
discreet Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 [quote name='UglyDog' timestamp='1428175897' post='2738894'] Radio 4. Grassie Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 5 live or talksport, music is the last thing I want to listen to after 3 hours of playing. Quote
rogerstodge Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Was whispering Bob til i installed a DAB In me van now its the Arrow, planet rock or absolute 70s Quote
CHW Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 It can depend on the gig- if I'm up for a bit more rock and buzzing from the gig, then probably a bit of Maiden. If I'm not in the mood it can be silence, or a bit of folky stuff that we keep in the car. Maybe a bit of TalkSport too. It really depends on circs Quote
DarkHeart Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Whatever is on the cd pre gig is usually on the cd post gig. Quote
RhysP Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 When I was gigging we would all be too busy screaming & shouting at each other on the way home to listen to any music. Quote
Buzzy Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Definitely not music, LBC, 5 live, BBC World service or nothing Quote
bassbiscuits Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Bob Harris's late night stuff usually. The drive home by myself in the early hours is one of my favourite chill out times after all the hecticness and noise of a gig. Quote
M@23 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Soothing silence for me too. Or, Talk sport/ 5live for football results if its a Saturday. Quote

goingdownslow Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 If I'm early enough (10.00pm - 1.00am), Stephen Nolan on Five Live. Been listening since it was Late Night Curry with Edwina Curry Quote
anaxcrosswords Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 For me it’s usually enforced silence. The MP3 player I have is a little USB stick thing, but you can’t use it when the USB is plugged in – it goes to charging mode. To listen to music you have to unplug it so it’s running on its battery, which means it keeps playing (silently of course) when you switch the engine off. I nearly always forget to plug the USB back in, so the device is dead by the time we’ve loaded out ready to go. On the odd occasions I remember, it’ll be my usual assortment of pop/post punk and modern Brit rock; All Time Low, You Me At Six, Deaf Havana, Sugarcult, Muse, Fall Out Boy. Keeps the adrenaline flowing on an early hours drive. Quote
DaytonaRik Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Either the sweet sound of silence, or Radio 5 Quote
tauzero Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Mrs Zero. So , just like the rest of my life then... Quote
