lownote
On the slim chance that someone has experience of both these puppies, I have the choice of a Hohner VI B Bass in decent nick, or a spalt mapled topped ESP LTD B206 in excellent nick for the same price. In terms of quality and tone, which is more beauty? Edited April 5, 2015 by lownote12
DarkHeart
Ive got the 4 string LTD B204 and it is a cracking bass and if the 6 er is the one thats for sale on here is the one your after then i dont think you can go far wrong, ive toyed with it myself but cant play a 5er never mind a 6 but have still been tempted, go for it and save me some money. geoffbyrne
Haven't played a Hohner VI B Bass, but owned a B Bass V for a while. There's a lot of love for these on here and I found the B V pretty decent in every respect. The only thing folk tend to say is that the pre amp is a bit of an oddity, being (on mine) a small metal matchbox-sized unit. pretty effective, though - treble & bass boost. Having said that, I've been deeply impressed with every LTD I've played. No help, then. G.
0175westwood29
only good things to say about my esp, awesome bass and looks alot more pricey than it is, pluss the active eq is really good for getting alot of sounds out of the bass! it will also take random tunings, mine has a 175 low e for god sake! andy
MrWalker
The B bass is a great bass. I haven't played the LTD you asked about, but have played a couple others. Also fine basses. I think you have to rely on gut feeling...

icastle
I own a B206. They're a well built and specced bass for the money, but they are a little bit on the weighty side.
badboy1984
I'm also looking at the ESP 6 string bass. Is the build quality good on these? I'm selling my fender jazz for one of these.
geoffbyrne
All the ESPs I've picked up have been impressive. G.
Raslee
Horny B Bass every time! Much smoother in my opinion than the ESP 206 that I briefly owned...although my ESP may have been a bad one
icastle
The only issue I found with the build quality was a small sharp area on the bottom of the nut that had a tendency to scratch my hand. Two rubs with a file sorted that out.
