A great little noise gate that can be used either with the loop so that the level is controlled by your pure bass signal and is unaffected by level changes when switching in and out effects or more simply by connecting in-line and ignoring the loop.

Not much to it: when the signal passes the threshold, the sound comes through unaffected. When below the threshold, the sound is cut allowing for silence on stage between songs or even in the rehearsal room where constant hum and hiss can drive you mad!
