Roger2611
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-57-Reissue-P-Bass-White-Blonde-Precision-Bass-/111628043469?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item19fd8cc4cd Just come across the above....how many points can you spot that says this is probably not a 57 reissue bass! So relisted due to crazy person or relisted because the original buyer got someone with a bit of knowledge to look at the pictures and decided not to lose a shed load of money on some dubious Fender(ish) parts. At a guess, possibly a standard mexican neck with 70's logo applied, possibly a Mexican 50's clasic body as it lacks the bridge cover holes but appears to have the right scratchplate and looks to be ok for the blonde finish they had, black plastic gasket on the neck plate is wrong, knobs are wrong, finger rest is wrong! I would report it but Ebay won't do anything about it
Beer of the Bass
I wonder if it's the Dave Holland? I don't know if he plays much bass guitar nowadays, but I suppose he might keep one or two around. Nibody
What's really amusing is that I suggested items underneath it actually shows a GENUINE '57 reissue... It looks like a nice bass, just not £1200 of nice.
Roger2611
Just looking at the listing again, it was sold for the £1200 asking price which has got him a negative feedback from the newish buyer, just saying "Fake Bass" it just goes to show, if in doubt...get it on here and we can tell you if it's an obvious wrong un! cameltoe
This looks identical to a bass I was watching on eBay last year. It was for sale in London, and was a USA '57 reissue complete body with a mighty mite neck. It's identical down to the gold tug bar and knobs, and neck logo. The opening price was £350, first time round it ended with no bids, second time it sold. I'll see if I can find it.
