Fender modern player dimension bass

Any one on here had one or tried one? Might give it a try but can't make my mind up about its aesthetics! Or the pick up and how it sounds, does sound like a P or a jazz or something completely different. Cheers

I tried one in PMT in Bristol. Very nice (apart from the glossy neck). Sounded more like a MM than anything else I think, I liked it a lot but was bothered by the lack of a tone control, there's only a volume and a coil tap for the pickup.

Some of the coil options sounded amazing, and some were a bit thin so could definitely have done with a tone knob IMHO.

I played one, and liked it quite a lot, sound wise it was great, looks wise, I couldn't really get on with it.

If you can get past the looks, there is a lot to like.

There's a new Squier Dimension bass which looks as tidy as the MP version.

I was looking at one today in white with a black pickguard.....i quite like the styling but i was also put off by the lack of a tone control. I should have tried it out but i had already fallen for a white P Bass.
