This one worries me a little, I read somewhere that a genuine Fender neck with truss rod adjustment at the headstock will always have some kind of inlay in the truss rod hole, it that is correct then this is not a genuine Fender neck!

Any thoughts?

Squier affinity every day of the week.

Mexican (denoted by the 'serial number') factory doesn't do a bass with a rosewood board and that logo.

The Headstock shape is the chubby squier affinity and not fender shape.

You're right about there not being a 'plug'

The neck plate is erroneous and a buy off eBay jobbie.

And the tinfoil covered pickguard?

So many wrongs, not worth a quid more than £100

Yes. As at least 75% of the topics started in the Ebay subforum are about dodgy Fenders, we could do with a pinned thread to stick them all in.

That neck plate is a whopping £5.99 + 99p Postage on eBay BUT, on the positive side, it has been "Gigged ,toured and set".
