Walnut/Utile back, "MooWood" front (Spalted Siberian Ash, we believe)
Black Hardware

That is lovely indeed. I also have a soft spot for spalted wood. The facings on my Wal were taken from a piece I picked up in Vermont on a ski-ing holiday a few years back.

It's basses like this that make me GAS for a Status. I've been GAS-free for months.

Can I ask how much it was? I am thinking of getting a 5 or 6 string fretless soon, and I live in Holywood (you know, just outside Belfast, over the hills from Ards etc) and I dunno if Status basses are in my price range (1200-1300 TOPS).

It was £2049, It's currently £1849 for the specs plus a full flight case plus a little extra for the work that had to be done on the facing - It's not the easiest of woods to work!
