This went when I stopped playing in the early 90's. . [/quote] This is correct and they will go away of their own accord. You can break them up with a book or something but is not necessary I get them occasionally Edited April 15, 2015 by rjs1909 Quote
goingdownslow Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Is it only the single bassists that get this. Are you sure it is not from doing something else? Quote
BILL POSTERS Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Definitely looks like a Ganglion. I had one on the back of the other hand when I started playing again after a long break. My GP said not to hit it, cos its a cyst and they just come back if you burst them. Best just leave it and it will go away. Quote

Funky Dunky Posted April 15, 2015 Author Posted April 15, 2015 See the difference in the two hands? It's even more prominent after a practice, like a bicep after curls. Quote

dmccombe7 Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 I have a slight difference but might be down to how you angle your hand in relation to the arm or wrist but personally think i have if i hold my 2 wrists knuckle to knuckle against each other i can see a slight bulge. Maybe its a sign of how much you play Dave Quote

Nicko Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Difference between my fretting and non fretting hand is not as pronounced as the OPs pic. I put this down to the exercise the muscles on the fretting hand get - I assume these are muscles for span because muscles for clenching are mostly in the forearm. Quote
