I have a feeling it was a Daphine Blue which was a standard Fender Colour, I think you can still get a Squier Vintage Modified Strat in Daphine Blue, it's years since I last saw that video, think I still have it on an old VHS cassette somewhere

Tricky, as the video colour is pretty bad. I must say my first thought is a refin. If the guard is right, then Daphne had gone by that time.

Looks like Sonic blue to me. Paler than Daphne.
