A.G.E.N.T.E.
Excuse my question, but what kind of "effect" are you expecting? I`m not a user of this piece of gear but i belive this a rack unit compressor/limiter. This should sound as transparent as possible. Hope this helps: http://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/dc24.shtml Edited April 17, 2015 by A.G.E.N.T.E.

dincz
From the manual: "COMPRESSOR THRESHOLD control: determines above what input level the Compressor functions. Full clockwise rotation disables the Compressor entirely. The LED illuminates yellow any time the input signal exceeds the threshold level set by this control." Where have you set the threshold? If you turn down the threshold, does the yellow LED flash with signal?

Passinwind
A 1:1 compressor ratio = no compression. Try the -10dB back panel setting first off if the lowest (most sensitive, -48dB) compressor threshold setting isn't working at all.
