gareth Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015
Bump....... now £1100
this is a beautiful bass but you would stand more chance of selling it with full size photos and more photos of the pups out, neck off, full pots, pot cavity, neck cavity, pup cavity, etc, etc
blyn Posted September 6, 2015 Author Posted September 6, 2015 I think you are right, gareth! I have some more pictures and can mail them to serious interested buyers. Also can take Pick ups out, and take photos if it is nessasary. Regards Brian

thanku Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Great bass, but normaly you've got CTS pot on the Fender JV. (on the A series) Have you got a pictures of the neck pocket ? It's A, B, or C ?
blyn Posted September 11, 2015 Author Posted September 11, 2015 I also expected CTS pots! Tuner are the vintage reverse with low gearing, only found on top level instruments from that time. (Actually more correct than on USA reissues from the same period :-) Regarding the pots it could be because is it from the very first week, it is equiped with an other type. They are untouched solderings for sure, Regards Brian
Rick's Fine '52 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Pots are correct for this era JV.
RocknRoll62 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Hello Guys. Is there a reason why this bass doesn't display the squire series on the Headstock? Just a question i'm asking myself. Is there a simple explanation. This is a to die for Jazz!!!! Regards Dean
Rick's Fine '52 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Domestic issue basses didn't have it, the export models for the first 8 weeks did have the small 'Squire Series' decal on the ball end of the headstock.
So is this a domestic bass or an export after the first eight weeks.
Rick's Fine '52 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 This is domestic issue. The export ones changed to the large Squire decal after the first couple of months.

blyn Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 I bought the bass in Japan ten year ago. That fits the conclusion about beeing a domestic ! Regards Brian
blyn Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 I will put it on the scale and find precise weight tomorrow It is a light one ! Regards Brian
