It's only polite, ... if they don't want me to touch it because of the price tag, then no problem, but of course, I get the point about leaving it jacked up against a cab..
Have to say, I generally don't get Fodera's now even though I desired them from afar, some time ago.
I've moved on as to what I want, and a Fodera doesn't fit.... atm..

Funnily, the same argument does not apply to a Smith... ?????

Might search out an AC at some point to... and so back to the Fender vibe which is where I'm at, atm

play it for ages really badly, maybe experiment with a new technique of playing it back to front, and then when the sales assistant comes over hand it over to them saying "it's a bit crap, haven't you got any decent basses in like those Fender ones.... I hear that bass player from U2 has just designed a new one, that's got to be better than this?"
Or spend ages playing with it making the EQ as awful as possible and detuning the strings....

Of course I'd be incredibly polite in a shop, but might poke a few funny comments at them about the price.... there's a thread about this bass somewhere on Basschat don't you know?
