So, just back from watching Helms Alee and Russian Circles (Bristol)...

Interesting to nerd out at the end and see Brian Cook's pedalboard, there were a couple of new (as far as I know) pedals on his board, but I could only pick out one, and that was the TSVG Bass. Don't know if he used it though:

Other than that, he has a digitech bass whammy, a POG 2, nano holy grail, TU-2, memory toy delay, ernie ball volume pedal, akai head rush, fuzzrocious demon and rat tail pedals (both housed in the smaller MXR sized cases) and a swollen pickle.

Took a picture but it didn't come out too well. Was funny, about 6 bass players swarming around his board at the end!!!

Immense gig, was great to finally be able to check out Helms Alee live too :)

Awesome stuff, love Russian Circles and Brian's work in TAAS and Botch!

Gaz, I assume you've seen the Russian Circles Rig Rundown here, where he goes through his rig quite extensively...Doesn't sound like his board's changed much.

Russian Circles are one of the best live bands I've seen in recent years - superb sound at both the gigs I went to.

Cracking bass player, and he gets some monstrous sounds.

yep, watched that a couple of times, and yeah, pretty much the same setup. He wasn't using that big blender pedal any more though... (big bottom I think it was called?)

I think he may have taken out the blender and simply starting using the foot-pedals for subbier sounds.
Saw them in London on Monday, solid as always!
I also think I may be in live with Helms Alees drummer :-P

I wonder if that's been dropped just to keep the board smaller for travelling...

Asked Brian about his board for this tour and he was kind enough to send this over:

Also, it seems the Big Bottom is still very much part of the rig, but it broke in Austria! :-/

no, I was going to ask the same. just googled the termofuzz, which looks very interesting, but no idea on the silver one... bluebeard with a mid control???

on a side note, the sound mix in the fleece in bristol was not great, bass seemed to be far too low in the mix, except for when he stepped on something higher gain... shame, but didn't spoil a cracking gig.
