ahpook
Arrived today, all the way from Italy, and in fantastic condition. Can't seem to get a decent pic of it, so I've attached the one the chap I bought it from used. Took a bit of fiddling to adjust the passive tone stack to my tastes, getting there slowly, but it sounds very warm and heavy...niiiice. I bought it to replace my Ampeg SVP-Pro which is just too fragile to gig these days (in fact Mrs. Pook said she was pleased I'd not bought another SVP as "They just keep breaking don't they ? - You've had two dodgy ones now....Trace Elliot are much more reliable." I love my wife ) Made in Essex...just like me Edited April 23, 2015 by ahpook

Bigwan
Lovely preamps these. Sold mine when I got my Ashdown LB30 so didn't really miss it... Until I sold the LB30, then I missed them both!
ahpook
I think I'm going to try the alternative set of valves the seller included - they're EHX 12ax7 'Gold' - see what difference that makes, just out of curiosity,
VTypeV4
Nice.. Simple but effective and always warm which is a winner in my book!
