Hank Scorpio Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Considering one of these, but struggling to find any demos, so thought I'd take advantage of the knowledge here! I've used a Rat Tail and a Blower Box over the last few years, and loved them both, but I'm looking for a bit of a different flavour on the same sound. With the clean blend, and two LPFs, I'm assuming I could get a more 'muscular' tone, while retaining that trademark upper mid snarl - which is definitely intriguing me. Any feedback on this pedal? Any thoughts on the various features with it (clean blend, LPFs, internal range shift, clipping options)? Thanks in advance Quote
GazWills Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 (edited) I don't think I will be able to help much, as I am very bad at describing how pedals sound! I used to have a rat tail and a blower box, and now have a TK421x. I've not really messed with the diode options (yet), but yes, having the blend and the two LPF's means you can really dial in a lot of different sounds. I absolutely love mine, but for whatever reason never really got on with the RT or the BB... I'll maybe try and do some clips, but don't have much in the way of recording options at home at present... Edited April 24, 2015 by GazWills Quote
tonyxtiger Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 The COG is great. Had a rat tail and was massively disappointed. All fizz. Go for the TK421X. Quote
