ukdaffy2014
Just a quick question to anyone I have a carvin lb76 which never gets used as much as it should but I keep looking at a fretless bass, should I get it defretted (costs please) or should I sell and buy a fretless (poss a 5 or 6 string) and what to buy if I did sell. Grangur
Have you ever played a Fretless? Imho it's a drastic move to secret a bass if you then find Fretless doesn't work for you.
Norris
Get yourself a cheap second hand fretless to see how you get on. You can also then have something as a benchmark if/when you switch (save up and add to the collection! )

ukdaffy2014
Thanks I have played a fretless quite a bit (one of my bass player mates has got one, (it's not for gigging with as I play in a death metal band but more for my at home noodling as I put it) But I am nervous thinking about defretting the carvin but if I buy a fretless I will have to part it.
