Truckstop
Hello all, I've started a small pub covers band and I'll be playing keys. Up until now, I've been using rehearsal room gear. For pubs I'll just need a combo to keep up with the rest of the backline. Anyone know of any little gems out there? I suppose I'm looking for something that's around 100w 12" or 15" and, as usual, I'm on a small budget: £150. Looking at Peavey TNT115 but looks a bit too big and bulky. I'd look at a single active PA speaker but I'd prefer a full range bass or keyboard combo because there's more EQ options. Any help gratefully received! BassBunny
Roland Cube, the K/B version. Our K/B player has been using one for years. Crazy loud.
JTUK
I'd go with the active wedge/P.A cab and maybe look to put a basic EQ unit inline depends how many inputs you have... Good keys don't need a great deal of EQ anyway, IMO,
TransistorBassMan
I'm currently using a Behringer Eurolive B210D as a keyboard combo. It's light, loud and costs less than £150.00. One of my bands is a 7-piece with up to three guitars, and I have no trouble being heard. The treble and bass knobs work well, and it's the ideal monitor on bigger stages. funkgod
All of the peavey tnt range is always a top option for a smaller budget. Also keep your eye on ebay, now and again a Roland KC500 pops up to be had at a good price and these are the mutz nutz, the newer ones the kc550 also worth a note but by accounts not as good as the old 500, can also be used as a bass combo and a mixer for a home studio for say guitar, bass, and a drum machine with headphones. loads of info on the net for both,
