On a rutine serch of ebay I found 2 contrasting basses one I would kill my grandmother for (she is getting on a bit and this will last longer) and the tackyest looking thing I've ever seen.

No, I stand up tall and proud when I say I think the shinyshiny "OOOh! Purdy Lights" bass is pretty f***ing awesome! Wouldn't spend more than £30 on it, but HELL YEAH!!! Nothing says TACKY better than neons...be it on a pug 106, or on a p-bass replica!

Personally, I think that Fender Squier Classic that you have as "Hot" I would classify as "utterly hideous".
