thebrig
What a mess! Professionally reliced? Rumple
Apart from all the other things that are horrible on this bass, why is the scratch plate about 12mm thick!
itsmedunc
Truly a right mess. The scratchplate looks like it was fashioned from an old tyre. Too much information for me as well. He needs to learn how to use paragraphs!

yorks5stringer
My Sweet Lord! I think the relicing has probably knocked £300 off its value at least and that value will never ever appreciate like he suggests. Still there maybe somewhere out there who likes it and is prepared to pay silly money for it, if not his wife may be going on a budget break somewhere not very warm or sunny.... Muppet
That's crying out for a professional restoration. Or any restoration. Not by Raygun Relics though. So sad.
thebrig
The annoying thing for me is, I am actually searching for a 60th Anniversary Precision which is how I came across it, and I would have gone for it had it not been trashed!!! ras52
That scratchplate would probably provide some handy protection if you had a gig in Chernobyl.

Happy Jack
I just love that explosion of chisel stabs on the back ... entirely natural, utterly convincing. Incidentally, if you want to know what one of these really looks like after nearly 60 years, here's my '57: http://s1128.photobucket.com/user/h4ppyjack/library/Basses%20CURRENT/Fender%20Precision%201957%20CURRENT
