acidbass
Hi all, Just got my new Squier CV Precision bass back from the shop where it's had some upgrades done! Won the bass for a song on eBay and decided to spruce it up a bit with the following parts: - Fender Custom Shop 1963 pickup - Cloth Wiring - CTS Pots - Switchcraft Jack - Real Celluloid Tort Scratchplate - Telecaster Knobs And here's the end result: [attachment=190787:squier.jpg] A real beauty of a bass! Please note some filters have been used on the photo Plays like a dream, she's strung with TI Flatwounds for that vintage thud. I am considering putting a piece of foam under the strings at the bridge to go for a more Jamerson-esque tone. Have some blues gigs coming up and I can't wait to bring her out! To be honest, the Precision neck feels only marginally different in my hand to my other Squier CV Jazz - both very easy to play. Turnaround
Great colour, case sets it off nicely. I've only ever owned a 6 string CV but excellent build quality. I'm sure you've got a great bass there with the upgrades you've made.

Marc S
These CV Squiers are absolutely fabulous Great build quality, great feel & sound and IMHO, the Fiesta Red P is the best looker (esp with tort plate) Had one myself, and sold it, to get a Bitsa P/J which is great, but not quite as good, quality-wise as these CV's You're right about the necks on these. They're not as chunky as a US P bass Just a tad wider than a Jazz, and they feel superb, with a great finish and are a joy to play Lucky you, to get it for a song Now, play it, enjoy it, and hang on to it
luckman67
Nice mods and you have a bass that will serve you well for years to come. IIRC the pickups are the same that are on the American Standard Precisions, that was one of the reasons why I bought it.
Funky Dunky
Major envy! I dunno why, but I actually thought that bass came with the '63 pickup as standard. If you have a way to let us hear this wond'rous beast now that you have modded her, please post a clip! Congrats, she's beautiful!
machinehead
That's beautiful Danny. The best colour in the range for me. I'm still hoping to come to hear your BB2 sometime. Frank.
