Bassman Steve Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Ok, I've overcome my fear that a Bass 400+ would squash a Barefaced cab and have invested in a Compact. The question is, can it be used on its side? The old site suggested not but then it's half an old Super 15 isn't it? That's orientated 'landscape'. Quote
Happy Jack Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Experiment! Try it on its back, on its front, doggy style, whatever ... Quote
chris_b Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 There's only 1 speaker so I guess it's good either way. Quote

RandomBass Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Well ive used mine both ways, and it works equally well either way. I had a wide Ashdown Klystron head that looked silly perched atop an upright Compact, but was perfect when the cab was on its side. Soundwise there was absolutely no difference. For a while I had 2 compacts. Both on their side with the Ashdown on top was a fabulous sight and a thunderous sound. Ive just sold my Compact though Ahem. Quote
Bassman Steve Posted May 3, 2015 Author Posted May 3, 2015 Good grief man, you must be crazy. I hope the new owner is a virtuoso worthy of it? Quote

Bassman Steve Posted May 13, 2015 Author Posted May 13, 2015 Actually the handle prevents completely stable portrait stacking but I may replace one set of feet with longer ones. Quote
