I'm certain the string spacing is less than 18mm. Measure from the centre of the B string to the centre of the G string and divide by 4.

My series 1 thru neck has spacing of 15mm (which FWIW happens to be perfect for me.)

I think they do vary quite a bit. According to google they should all be 18, but i work mine out to be 16mm
