cheddatom
Sorry Blue but it's definitely right. You hear more low end at higher volumes, which I think is the reason for this phenomenon
uncle psychosis
I think you're discovering the reason why lots of bassists use clean blends when using distortion/overdrive, especially when using pedals that are voiced for guitars instead of basses. You'll probably find that it works OK once you've set it up at gigging volume.

blue
Ok guys, Mission Accomplished! The Dr. J Soloman Overdrive worked fine at last nights gig. You have to adjust your volume on your bass when you engage, other that it's fine. Now it's a matter of learning when I want to use it. It's a simple inexpensive true by-pass overdrive, $69.00 I give it 4 stars out of 5. I'm glad I pulled out that Boss OB-3, I have no idea what good that thing could be to anyone. The Badderer
great to hear man!! it amazes me how it always takes a bit of time to really get the best out of the simplest pedals. hope you had a good time at the gig
