Mr Bassman
Any fretless Status owners out there? I'd like to know how they sound. Or can anyone recommend any recordings or youtube. I can only find this vid https://youtu.be/8UnhKyVahF4 Edited May 8, 2015 by Mr Bassman

AndyTravis
I often ponder a classic vibe squier body with a fretless status neck. Loved my kingbass and my 5 has a carbon fibre neck.
Delberthot
If you listen to the Now album by Paul Rodgers, Jazz Lochrie uses a 6 string fretless but I can't remember what model. Around about that time I almost ordered a headless Status Stealth fretless 6 string
Dood
I owned a Status Energy 6 - an all-wood construction rather than graphite. Great warm sound with lots of clarity as I remember. The bottom end was something to behold too. Stupidly, I sold it!
tom5string
I used to play a headless S4000 fretless, the one with a bolt-on graphite neck .... for years ... and I liked it very much. Sustain, punch clarity, growl, the graphite is hard and allows real fast attack, perfect for Jaco-esque 16th patterns. When played more close to the neckt, the sound was getting more dark, fundamental. Just sold it because I was really missing a fifth string. Highly recommended instrument ... should not be too expensive, if you can find one. Mine left Ebay for 400,- Euros :-( Cheers, Tom
