Should I change my pups ?

I've have Fernandes Gravity deluxe on here for sale ... I don't think it's ever gonna sell:(...I love the style great through neck with low action alder body thing is I've really fallen out of love with the sound . It's got emg Jazz style pups with the Fernandes active eq . I'm back to a sandberg tt Jazz style bass now so this will be my backup .. My question is "do I change the active circuit or do I change the pups ...or both even as I'm looking for more of a growl from this bass ..

Try some brighter strings before messing with the electrics. DR Sunbeams I think are supposed to be quite bright and there's another band that makes a set called 'Super Bright' so search for those.

You might be quite surprised at the difference!
