Waterboarder Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Evening, I recently bought a 9V power adapter for my Guitar Man GM305 tuner pedal (basically the same as a Korg Pitch Black). The place I got it swears its the right type and should work perfectly, however all it did was light it up like a xmas tree (all LED's on). Ive since tried it with a battery as I used it before and now the same thing happens - wont tune, just lights up. Anyone know what might be occurring here, if its completely buggered or if its repairable? Ta Quote

BigRedX Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Was this PSU the correct polarity for the pedal? I can't find any specifications for which was around either the pedal or the PSU is wired. Quote
tauzero Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Looks like centre negative for the tuner: which is standard for guitar effects, so the PSU should be. Quote
Waterboarder Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 Yes...is it centre-negative 9V DC as it says. I dont know what the 200mA refers to...just not sure if there anyrthing else that couldve made it go pop!? Might take the back off and have a look this eve...failing that will buy a new one... Quote
