Funky Dunky
How does one do it on a Squier Precision, or can it not be done? The G string seems to be a bit off. No jokes please chaps. Edited May 14, 2015 by Funky Dunky
MoonBassAlpha
Replace the saddles with vintage-style ones that have threads on the barrel like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Vintage-Style-Bass-Bridge-Threaded-Saddles-NICKEL-/331324365448?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d24789a88
3below
Is the G string 'falling off the neck'? Too close to the fingerboard edge? If this is the case, the issue is probably the alignment of neck to body. Slacken the strings, loosen the neck bolts (screws) slightly and then (boldly) tap the headstock towards the top horn (towards left of bass looking from front). Tighten the neck bolts and re-tune. Should be good to go. Edited May 14, 2015 by 3below
Funky Dunky
It's not falling off the neck, I know what you mean though because I had on old Telecaster with that very problem. It's not a nightmare, barely even a nuisance. I'm just being über-fussy and would've liked to have moved it a hair.
